REMORA2 · SUPPLIER CASH RECOVERY

Finding money is not the job. Getting it back is.

REMORA2 starts from the files you already have, validates only what the evidence supports, takes your approval before any supplier is contacted, then carries approved cases through follow-up until the credit or refund has actually been received and reconciled.

No ERP integration is required to begin, and the records do not have to be tidy. Supplier and carrier contact stays under human control. Money counts as recovered only when settlement evidence says it arrived.

Recovery execution

From potential discrepancy to reconciled cash.

Six steps, each with its own gate. Nothing moves to the next step because a model was confident — it moves because evidence, or a person, allowed it to.

  1. 01

    Start from files

No ERP integration is required to begin. We work from the exports, statements, agreements and supporting records you already have.

    Input: files you already hold

  2. 02

    Validate evidence

Potential discrepancies are checked against invoices, payments, contracts, credits, rebates or shipment evidence before they become claims.

    Gate: evidence, not a score

  3. 03

    Approve the claim

Your finance team approves the specific claim and amount before any supplier or carrier action.

    Gate: your approval

  4. 04

    Raise and follow up

REMORA2 prepares the evidence-backed claim packet, records what was sent and manages the follow-up queue under human control.

    Human-controlled contact

  5. 05

    Verify money received

Supplier acceptance is not enough. Refunds or applied credits are matched to recognized settlement evidence.

    Gate: settlement evidence

  6. 06

    Reconcile and close

Realized recovery is reconciled back to the case in the same currency. Partial recovery stays partial until the balance is resolved.

    Output: reconciled cash

Working with your systems

Exports first. Integration when it earns its place.

Recovery starts from exports, because that is the fastest way to a first case — no implementation project, no IT queue, and no integration sign-off before anyone has seen a result.

  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • NetSuite
  • JD Edwards
  • Blue Yonder
  • MercuryGate

Whatever the system is — one of these, or something built in-house — the work begins with what it can already produce. Where an engagement runs long enough to warrant it, VSN builds the direct connection; integration work is what VSN does. The order is deliberate: prove the recovery first, wire it in second.

Supported recovery

Three recovery services. One execution chain.

Whatever you were comparing us against, it sits in one of these three. Each runs the same six steps and is counted the same way.

A scanneris measured on candidates found.

An audit platformis measured on invoices covered and errors detected.

A reconciliation toolis measured on how fast the period closes.

REMORA2is measured on money received and reconciled back to the case.

Not claimed

These are outside the offer. They are listed so nobody has to guess where the boundary sits.

Entry point

The free local scan is one way in. Recovery execution is the offer.

It narrows an accounts-payable export to the records worth validating. It runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and none of what it returns is recovered cash.

Illustrative rows. Headline figures are from the real 150,118-row test. None of these are recovered cash.

Browser-only means browser-only. For the local scanner, file contents and scan results are not uploaded to, received by, or stored on VSN systems. We hold a written opinion from Croatian counsel on the data-processing position.

A scan result is a candidate for review, not a claim and not a recovery. It becomes claim-ready only when the supporting evidence validates the amount and the basis — which is where the recovery engagement begins.

FREIGHT RECOVERY

Invoice. Rate card. Shipment.
Then the same execution chain.

CARRIER INVOICEShipment 4471 · 12 pallets · Munich → Rotterdam€ 18,420
RATE CARDAgreed lane terms for this service€ 16,980

DISCREPANCYCharged above the agreed contract term for this lane€ 1,440

Illustrative case. Figures are synthetic.

Freight is unusually good for evidence-based recovery: the billed number exists, the agreed number exists, and the shipment exists, so the difference can be shown rather than asserted. From there the case follows the same path as any other — validated, approved by you, raised, followed up under human control, and counted only once settlement evidence confirms the money arrived. 30% of realized recovery, nothing otherwise.

What we need

  • Carrier invoices
  • Freight contracts or rate cards
  • Shipment or TMS records
  • Credit and refund history

Sent after an agreement. Nothing moves before that.

What we check

  • Contracted rate applied
  • Duplicate freight charges
  • Fuel and accessorial surcharges
  • Weight, distance and zone
  • Service level billed vs. delivered
  • Charges for cancelled or nonexistent shipments
  • Missing carrier credits

What you get

One evidence package per defensible discrepancy: the invoice charge, the contract term, the shipment evidence, the calculation and a dispute-ready explanation — then the follow-up, the reply tracking and the settlement check that turn it into cash.

REMORA2 does not contact carriers autonomously. Communication is human-controlled, the exact artifact sent is recorded, unanswered claims are followed up, replies are tracked, and settlement is verified before anything is called recovered.

Economic doctrine

Potential recovery is not realized recovery.

Most recovery numbers are quoted at the point where they are largest and least true. These are the lines REMORA2 will not cross to make a number look better.

A machine finding is potential recovery only.

Operator review is not settlement.

Customer approval is not settlement.

Supplier acknowledgement is not settlement.

A credit note alone is not realized recovery unless it is economically applied.

A refund must be matched to recognized settlement evidence.

Partial settlement remains partial.

Currencies never blend.

This is why REMORA2 reports two numbers and never one. Potential recovery is what the evidence supports pursuing. Realized recovery is what has landed, in the currency it landed in, matched to the settlement evidence that proves it. A supplier saying yes moves nothing between those two columns.

Commercial model

Three ways to work with REMORA2.

The scan is free because it is the entry point. The recovery work is where the offer is.

Supplier / AP recovery

Scoped engagement

  • File-first validation
  • Evidence package per case
  • Your approval before supplier action
  • Supplier follow-up under human control
  • Settlement verification
  • Reconciliation back to the case

Scope and commercial terms are set per engagement against the records and recovery classes actually in play. Discuss a recovery scope.

Freight recovery

30% of realized recovery

  • Nothing if nothing comes back
  • No fee on findings
  • No fee on claims raised
  • No fee on supplier acknowledgements

Nothing is charged until money has landed. See freight recovery.

FREIGHT RECOVERY AUDIT

30% of cash actually recovered. Nothing if nothing comes back.

No licence, no monthly fee, no minimum, no cap. You approve every claim before it goes to the carrier.

WHO HANDLES YOUR FILES

Named, not anonymous.

REMORA2 is built and operated by VSN j.d.o.o. in Osijek, Croatia.

The free scan never sends anything anywhere, so for that entry point it does not matter who is behind it. A recovery engagement is different: you are sending supplier agreements, invoices and payment records. The recovery operator who receives them, reconciles them and signs every claim package is Krunoslav Petrić. Nobody outside the engagement sees them.

FAQ

Questions.

Do I need an ERP or TMS integration?

No. REMORA2 can start file-first from AP exports, payment history, supplier statements, carrier invoices and supporting agreements. Integrations are not claimed or required to begin, so there is no implementation project to schedule before the first case.

How is this different from freight audit and payment software?

An audit platform is measured on invoices covered and errors detected. REMORA2 is measured on money received: the same discrepancies are validated, but a case closes only when settlement evidence shows the credit or refund reached you, and the 30% fee is calculated from that number rather than from what was detected.

How is this different from a rebate reconciliation tool?

A reconciliation tool is measured on how quickly the period closes. REMORA2 pursues the entitlement itself: where the agreement and the qualifying spend are evidenced and the rebate has not been settled, the claim is prepared, approved by you, raised with the supplier and followed up until the credit is applied.

Is every scanner result an overpayment?

No. A scanner result is a candidate for review. A case becomes claim-ready only when supporting evidence validates the amount and basis.

Does REMORA2 contact suppliers automatically?

No. Supplier and carrier communication remains human-controlled. The customer approves the claim before action.

When is money counted as recovered?

Only when recognized settlement evidence shows that the refund, payment or applied credit has economically reached the customer.

Is a supplier credit note recovered cash?

Not by itself. It counts only when the credit has actually been applied or otherwise economically realized.

Where does my scan file go?

Nowhere. The free scanner runs locally in your browser. File contents and scan results are not uploaded to VSN. Files for a recovery engagement are a separate matter and move only under an agreement.

What does the freight audit cost?

30% of what actually comes back, and nothing if nothing comes back. No licence, no monthly fee, no minimum, no setup fee, no cap. You approve every claim before it goes to the carrier.

REMORA2 does not sell a list of possible errors.

It validates what the evidence supports, takes your approval, pursues the supplier or carrier under human control, verifies that the money arrived, and reconciles it back to the case. Tell us what records you already have and we will tell you what a scope looks like.
